HANNIBAL, MO -- A 30 year old St. Louis Missouri man is in the Marion County jail this morning, after he tried to run from the Hannibal cops early this morning.

Police say they were investigating the strong smell of burning marijuana in the 2100 hundred block of Gordon Street at about midnight, when they confronted several people on the street.

Michael Woods tried to run from the police and was eventually caught several blocks away.

When he was arrested, police found a number of wrapped baggies containing crack cocaine.

Woods faces charges of delivery of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
