COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Police in suburban Memphis say they will charge 31 high school students with holding organized fist fights that were recorded and posted online.

The Commercial Appeal reported police in Collierville were able to identify participants through videos posted on YouTube.

The fights were similar to ones that have taken place around the country since the 1999 Brad Pitt movie "Fight Club" about underground brawling.

Authorities say police were tipped off by the parents of one teen who took part in the fights that were held off-campus in parks and parking lots.

Officials say all but three of those involved were 17 or younger. They face charges including assault. The three who are 18 or older will be charged as adults.
