QUINCY, ILL -- After weeks of rumors and trying to determine if the City of Quincy's Director of Central Services still had a job and was on the city payroll. There is finally an answer to that question.

This morning, mayor John Spring said in a faxed news release that "Mike Beebe and the City of Quincy have severed their employer/employee relationship.

It's clear on the surface what the news release says.

But there are some questions that remain, including; "What kind of severance package did Beebe receive? Was he terminated or did Beebe resign from his position? What prompted this action to begin with? Who will replace Beebe as the Director of Central Services?

K-H-Q-A is attempting to contact Mayor Spring to try and get answers to these questions.
