VAN BUREN COUNTY MAN SENTENCED ON FEDERAL CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGES
DAVENPORT- On September 24, 2009, Ronald West Bonjour, age 72, of Keosauqua, Iowa was sentenced for possession of child pornography to 78 months in prison
by United States District Court Judge John A. Jarvey, announced U.S. Attorney Matthew G. Whitaker. Bonjour will also be required to spend ten years on supervised
release following any period of incarceration. In August 2007, state agents searched Bonjour’s residence and seized a computer.
This computer was found to contain 60 video images of child pornography. Bonjour pled guilty on March 20, 2009.
This case was prosecuted in the United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Iowa. This investigation was conducted by the Iowa Department of Public
Safety, Division of Criminal Investigation and the Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
