QUINCY, IL -- Several turned out to the Gardner Museum of Architecture and Design in Quincy on Saturday.

It offered free admission to Smithsonian magazine readers and Smithsonian.com visitors as part of the magazine's 5th Annual Museum Day.

The Gardner Museum opened its Builders and Manufacturers and Martin J. Geise Architect exhibits this weekend.

Visitors also enjoyed various other exhibits, including those called, "The Gardner Family Mansions" and "Aspirations in Glass."

The latter showcases a wide array stained glass windows.

Gardner Museum Assistant Millie Barry said, "Some people are real talkative and some people are just in and out. People just really love the Gardner exhibit still even though it's been the longest-running one that we have right now."

The Gardner Museum of Architecture and Design is open Wednesday through Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. each day
