We may be heading into fall, but that doesn't mean things slow down at the Quincy Park District.
In fact, Dan Gibble is the new executive director at the Park District.
He's been on the job for four days.
KHQA met with him this afternoon to see what his plans are.
Right now, he says he's getting a feel for the community and meeting with community leaders and Park District supporters.
"I'm not the kind of person that jumps in and makes hasty management decisions. I want to get a feel of how people look at the Park District from all perspectives and move forward from there," says Gibble.
Gibble comes from Quincy from Urbana Illinois.
He worked for that park district for 18 years.
Before that, he spent time in a Chicago suburb working at a park district.
