We told you Thursday night on KHQA's Late News at 10:00 that a case of H1N1 was confirmed in Monroe County.
KHQA has learned, the infected person is a college aged student who is attending a Missouri college.
We checked in with several colleges today to see if H1N1 is rearing its ugly head on campuses.
Western Illinois University in Macomb tells us its conducting seasonal and H1N1 flu surveillance on a daily basis.
So far, that university has had one confirmed case of H1N1, but that was back in May.
The university is seeing an increase in flu like illnesses, but says that's typical this time of year.
Culver Stockton College in Canton reports no cases of flu, seasonal or H1N1.
Hannibal LaGrange College tells us it's had no cases of H1N1 flu, but one case of seasonal flu.
That student did leave campus for a few days at the request of their parents and HLG staff, but is now back on campus.
We also requested information from Quincy University, but we not yet heard back from that school.
Southern Illinois University at Carbondale has had one confirmed case of H1N1.
