HANNIBAL, MO -- Some area residents spent Saturday on a historic and scholarly note.

Mark Twain Museum Curator Henry Sweets held a special presentation, showing off artifacts and memorabilia not currently on display.

They included Mark Twain letters, including one regarding the moving of Samuel Clemens' father's and brother's remains from the Old Baptist Cemetery to Mt. Olivet Cemetery; autographed first-edition books; wedding invitations and special photographs.

A Mark Twain Adult Writers Workshop is planned next Saturday at the museum.
