Quincy Art Center announces three new innovative exhibits on view through October 18, 2009.

Featured artists and their exhibits are: Shellee Graham – Return to Route 66: Photographs from the Mother Road, Claire Lieberman – Sugar Red Tail Light, and Angela Mobley – Tellings.

A popular traveling exhibit across the U.S., Shellee Graham’s Route 66 collection of photographs highlights the legendary and nostalgic highway with images detailing its forgotten icons.

Ms. Graham’s work earned her the prestigious John Steinbeck Award for historic preservation and has appeared in numerous regional, national, and international shows.

For over a decade, her traveling Route 66 photography exhibition circulated across the U.S., ending in 2008.

In addition, Claire Lieberman brings her own unique brand of artwork to the Sugar Red Tail Light installation using a creative combination of Jell-O, marble and video to form an intricate, flowered patterned environment.

An instructor in sculpture at Illinois State University, Ms. Lieberman received her MFA from Pratt Institute and a BFA from the Boston Museum School.

Exhibits of her work have been shown in New York galleries and have been listed in the New York Arts magazine.

Angela Mobley showcases five video art pieces and has been involved in numerous group and solo exhibitions across the Midwest and Italy.

Her latest work was featured at Illinois State University.

Ms. Mobley received her MFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago with additional education in Mexico and Italy.

Currently, she is an instructor at DePaul University and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

These exhibitions will be on display through October 18, 2009 during gallery hours of 12:00 noon – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday and 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

There is no charge for Quincy Art Center members to view the exhibit.

There is a $3.00 admission charge for adults and $1.00 for seniors, students and children.
