NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Yale University President Richard Levin is among the scheduled speakers at a memorial service for Annie Le (LAY'), the 24-year-old graduate student found strangled over a month ago behind a wall in a school laboratory.
Classmates, professors and others plan to gather at Yale's historic Battel Chapel for the Monday evening service, which is open only to members of the Yale community and Le's family and friends.
Other speakers will include Jon Butler, the dean the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, and Anton Bennett, the pharmacology professor who ran the lab in which Le worked.
Le, from Placerville, Calif., vanished Sept. 8 and her body was found five days later. Raymond Clark III, a 24-year-old former Yale University lab technician, has been charged with her murder.
