Mother thwarts possible child abduction

LA GRANGE, MO -- The LaGrange Missouri Police Department is asking for your help today is trying to locate a man who tried to abduct a two year old girl at about 7:30 am

The department says the attempted abduction was thwarted, when the childs mother interrupted the incident as it happened on Main Street in LaGrange.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 50 years old, with white shoulder length hair and a white scraggly beard.

He has a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a dark blue cotton shirt and blue jeans.

He ran from the scene.
