DAVENPORT, IOWA (AP) -- A former Clinton High School band teacher convicted in a sex sting has been sentenced to more than 13 years in federal prison.

A federal jury in Davenport convicted 34-year-old James Young in April of using the Internet to knowingly entice a minor to engage in illicit sexual activity.

Young was sentenced on Monday in U.S. District Court to 160 months in prison followed by 10 years of probation.

He was arrested in DeWitt last November after authorities said he agreed to meet a person he believed was a 14-year-old girl at a hotel.
