QUINCY, ILL. -- Adams County Sheriff, Brent Fischer has announced that he has submitted his name as a candidate for re-election.

Sheriff Fischer was elected to the office on November 3, 1998.

He stated in a news release to KHQA, "Our team has established proven leadership in law enforcement, and we will continue to strive for providing modern professional service in our community. We need leadership in law enforcement today more than ever. We are in an ever changing world and we must have leadership today that is on the front lines, yet have the willingnesss to change with the times and technologies. We have demonstrated that we can prove that."
