HANNIBAL, MO -- A big congratulations go out to 18 performers at Friday night's sister-sing-off at Hannibal LaGrange College -- a friendly singing competition among female performers.

KHQA's Melissa Shriver and Rajah Maples emceed the event.

Choir groups, sororities and soloists performed in an effort to raise awareness about breast cancer awareness.

General Mills presented a $4000 check to the American Cancer Society, thanks to money raised from last weekend's Run/Ride for the Ribbon.

Participants also had an opportunity to attend a women's health fair, which provided education about breast cancer.

Speakers also were on hand to share their personal stories of the disease and what you can do to prevent it from being deadly.
