You remember this past July, the story of the Quincy man who lost his pet boa constrictor for three weeks.

The snake was eventually found just two houses away from where it went missing.

The snake was taken to a city animal shelter while things were sorted out, including charges the owner faced for not having the proper permit and not informing police when the snake escaped.

We checked on the status of this case and found out the owner now has the snake back.

Police Chief Rob Copley told us the owner pleaded guilty to the charges and paid the fines.

However, Copley says the owner moved the snake out of the city limits where he doesn't need a permit.
