QUINCY, ILL. -- A fire broke out at 828 North 11th St. in Quincy on Friday morning at approximately 8:25 a.m.
A neighbor told KHQA that around 8:25 a.m., her husband noticed flames coming from a downstairs window at the residence next door.
Firefighters arrived minutes later.
A man who lives in an upstairs apartment was home at the time of the fire, but escaped with no injuries.
Firefighters are ruling the fire accidental...saying it could have been cause by an electrical outlet or a flat iron that was left plugged in.
The Adams Co. Chapter of the American Red Cross reports the family of three who lived in the downstairs apartment is in need of clothing.
