JACKSONVILLE, ILL. -- The Salvation Army is in the midst of its annual fundraising season.

This year's campaign is called a "Season of Hope".

This is because the monies raised during these six weeks will be used throughout the year to provide hope to those who might be struggling financially in Morgan County.

The goal for this year's Season of Hope campaign is $78,000.

As of Dec. 8, 35 percent of that goal had been reached.

Only 14 days remain to raise the remaining 65 percent, or $54,000.

The Salvation Army needs your help to make this season successful to effectively serve the people of the community.

Volunteers are needed to help with bell ringing.

To sign up, or for more information, call the Salvation Army at (217) 245-7124.
