A local church is hoping to make Christmas during these tough times a bit easier for folks who need a helping hand.

Soon all these tables will be full of donations for the second Abundance Exchange at the old County Market building on 30th and Broadway.

Folks dropped off items ranging from toys to TV's and furniture throughout the day today.

It's organized by members at the Unity Spiritual Life Center in Quincy.

The exchange part of the even happens tomorrow (Saturday), when folks are welcome to line up and pick out whatever they want...at no charge.

Last year 150 carloads of items were donated and more than 500 people turned out to take advantage of the donations.

Organizers want it to be an opportunity for people to reach out and help others by getting rid of things we don't use but somebody else might need.

Doors open Saturday from 9am to 3pm at the old County Market on 30th and Broadway.

Every participant can fill three bags and take one big item as well.

Everyone is welcome to take part.
