Work almost done at Good Samaritan Home
QUINCY, ILL. -- The new Alzheimer's unit at the Good Samaritan Home in Quincy is almost done.
The outside of the building is finished. Work crews are putting final touches inside. The new unit will house 24 residents. We spoke to Good Samaritan Home Administrator Mike Duffy. He told us all funding is in place for the home.
And while the new addition will add a few more jobs, Duffy says it will also benefit the community.
"We'll be able to provide more services for seniors. We have more private room available, updated services...we'll be able to add to what we've been able to do for many years here at Good Samaritan Home," Duffy said.
Duffy says the home hopes to move residents into the new Alzheimer's unit by March.
