QUINCY, ILL. -- A small gathering at Quincy's Old National Cemetery remembered fallen heros this holiday season.

Wreaths Across America is an event that started at Arlington National Cemetery. Wreaths are placed to remember those who have served and are serving our country. The ceremony has caught on across the country, including the Tri-States.

Remembering those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice is something that has a lot of meaning to one veteran we spoke to.

"It just means so much to me that mainly, because I think of the people who lost their lives, had their families, and they were never able to come home," saidi Vietnam veteran Paul Kendall.

Kendall says there are so many that gave their lives for this country. He would like to see more people attend these events and show support.
