QUINCY, ILL. -- People were able to see a local historical sight in a whole new light.
Sunday evening, the Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County sponsored the annual Christmas Candlelight tours of the John Wood Mansion.
Every year the theme changes.
This year's theme...A John Wood Christmas.
The free tour went back to its roots and was decorated as it would have been in 1835 when only natural materials were used.
Governor John Wood himself along with his wife Mary were even on hand.
The tour continues after Christmas on Sunday the 27th and Monday the 28th.
Volunteers said there was a big crowd Saturday night with about 165 people going through the self guided tour.
