DES MOINES, IOWA -- Freezing drizzle and falling temperatures are causing slick roads and sidewalks across Iowa as the state continues to dig out from last week's blizzard.

The National Weather Service says temperatures dropped early Monday into the single digits and teens in northwest Iowa, and will continue to drop statewide throughout the day.

Lows tonight will range from 10 below zero in the northwest to ten above in the southeast.

Freezing drizzle was falling Monday morning in northeast, central and southern Iowa.

It was expected to change to light snow by midday.

Total snow amounts will be around an inch.

The cold is expected to continue for several days.

Highs on Tuesday will be in the single digits to lower teens, with lows dropping again to about 10 below across northern Iowa.
