QUINCY, ILL. -- The following is a News Release from the City Engineer, Jeffrey H. Steinkamp's, office:

Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 and through Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 5:00 p.m., North 22nd Street between Maple and Locust Streets will be closed to traffic.

The street is being closed to allow for the installation of a new sanitary sewer line in the area.

Motorists are asked to drive carefully near the construction work zone and to use an alternate travel route during this time.
