One good deed follows another

QUINCY, ILL. -- It all started around Thanksgiving with a good deed.  Melissa Shriver paid it forward by donating some art supplies to the kindergarten classes in Liberty.

Since then, the chain hasn't broken. Liberty students made cards for residents at the Good Samaritan Home in Quincy and delivered them.  And those residents baked cookies for students at Adams Elementary School.  They dropped off those cookies to Kindergarten through third grade kids Wednesday.  As you can see, they were really excited.

After eating the cookies, kids had one thing they wanted to say.

"Thank You," said five-year-old Brendon Laycock.  Eight-year-old Johnathan Kimall also says, "Thank You."

Good Samaritan Home resident Shirley Allen says, "It's a good feeling.  There's not a lot we can do, so that was nice to do."

The Adams Elementary students are working on a pay-it-forward project of their own. We'll show you what they did Friday.
