2nd annual event at Gardner Museum
QUINCY, ILL. -- Invitations are being mailed this week for the second annual Valentine's Dinner at the Gardner Museum of Architecture and Design on Sunday, Feb. 14.
This fundraiser for the museum features a gourmet dinner that includes appetizers, salad, a gourmet dinner, wine with dinner and a decadent dessert. There will be one seating at 7 p.m. Tables will accomodate 8, 6, 4 or 2. Cost will be $50 per person. Cocktail hour starts at 6 p.m. A limited cash bar will be available.
The museum will be elegantly decorated in observance of Valentine's Day. Tables will feature candlelight and indirect soft lighting. There are some changes this year that promise to surprise and delight attendees.
A silent auction will be held with items scattered throughout the museum. Area businesses have donated many items along with a variety of architectural pieces from the Gardner Museum. The auction will end at 8:30 p.m. and the winners will be able to take home their purchases that evening.
