Danville, Ia. man killed in vehicle collision

LEE COUNTY, IA. -- A Des Moines County, Ia. man died after a collision between the minivan he was driving and a pickup truck.

Bernard Anthony Boyle, age 47, of Danville died from his injuries.

The Lee County Sheriff's Department reports Todd Richard Pardall, age 45, of West Point, Ia. didn't stop his vehicle at the stop sign at the intersection of 303rd Avenue and 180th Street, south of Denmark and north of Fort Madison on Tuesday morning.  Pardall's pickup struck Boyle's minivan; the minivan rolled onto its top, and both vehicles came to rest in a ditch.

Pardall was taken to Fort Madison Community Hospital for his injuries.

The investigation continues and charges are pending.
