QUINCY, ILLINOIS -- A steady snow fall made for a slow commute this morning in Quincy and around the area.

Drivers had to take their time getting to their destinations.

The snow started overnight and by 7am there was already more than an inch of snow on the ground in Quincy and close to two inches further north.

Many area schools called off classes today on Monday as well.

More snow and strong winds are expected on Tuesday
