QUINCY, ILL. -- You can take a swim for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Sheridan Swim Club will host the first annual Winter Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 7 a.m.-noon. Swimmers can sign up to swim as far and as fast as the swimmer is able to in an hour. Swimmers will be responsible for bringing their own lap counter.
Swimmers' times and distances will be posted. A first place trophy will be awarded to the strongest swimmer.
To register, call Sheridan Swim Club at (217) 224-1051 for a lane and time. Sheridan members and non-members are welcome.
Swimmers will be allowed to bring family members for a free open swim from noon-3 p.m.
Registration costs $20; all proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Illinois.
