Boil order issued for parts of Quincy

QUINCY, ILL. -- The following is a press release from David M. Kent, Director of Utilities for the City of Quincy:

A boil order has been issued in order to make repairs on a water service line.

An interruption in water service will occur on Friday, Feb. 19 from 8:00 a.m. to noon to residents in the following locations:

  • 24th Street (Harrison to 1724 S. 24th)
  • Melrose Drive
  • Grawe Court
  • Waters Court
  • Quincy Avenue

Once service has been restored, a 48-hour boil order will be in effect.
