AUDRAIN CO., MO. -- The trial of a man charged with killing his wife almost 20 years ago will be held this summer in Audrain County.

The Hannibal Courier-Post is reporting that a judge has set the trial of Douglas Howery for July 12 to 16 in Mexico.

Howery has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the death of Betty Ann Howery, who was 44 when she disappeared on Feb. 20, 1992, from the couple's Pike County Missouri farm.

The investigation was put back on the front burner after human bones were found at the farm in October 2008.

Howery was arrested in May 2009.

He remains in the Pike County Jail at Bowling Green on 300 thousand dollars bond
