Fire claims life of Griggsville woman

58-year-old woman dies in house fire

GRIGGSVILLE, ILL. -- A Griggsville woman died early Tuesday morning in a house fire.

Just after midnight, emergency crews responded to a call at the 107 North Union Street.

They found the front of home fully engulfed in flames.

When firefighters entered the home, they found the body of 58-year-old Pamela Cadwell.

The fire was quickly put out.

The cause was ruled as careless use of smoking materials.
