CHICAGO, ILL. (AP) -- The American Medical Association has a message for President Barack Obama as he convenes a last-ditch health care summit.
AMA President James Rohack says the nation's largest doctors' group won't accept a stalemate.
He spelled out the AMA's concerns in a letter shared with Obama and congressional leaders before Thursday's bipartisan summit.
Rohack reiterated the AMA's support for insurance reforms and reducing costs. And he also emphasized the AMA's long-standing push for medical liability reforms.
Obama is meeting with Republicans and Democrats at the Blair House, across the street from the White House.
The summit is being televised live.
