It's been a few weeks since we brought you the heart-warming homecoming of three Haitian children to their adoptive parents in Quincy.

You'll recall after years of trying to finalize the adoptions, Patrick and Mervi Leyendeckers welcomed their children home last month.

Now 15-year-old Kenlley, 12-year-old Dieunika and 11-year-old Modeline are leading normal American lives. They're going to school every day and arriving home on the bus. We caught up with the kids as they had their after-school snack and started their homework Thursday afternoon.

The Leyendeckers say the kids have settled into school in Quincy and been enjoying the comforts of American life...including the girls first hair appointment scheduled for Friday.

The girls don't speak much english yet, but did tell us one of their favorite foods here in the states is macaroni and cheese.
