Job fair hopes to help Quincy cope with recession

QUINCY, ILL. --

On Wednesday, March 24th, Vatterott College will host the 2nd annual Community Job Fair at Quincy Mall at 33rd and Broadway.

This event will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and admission is free. Booth registration is free for any companies who would like to be on hand as potential employers.

“We are thrilled to be hosting the Community Job Fair and bring together potential employers and employees,” said Leslie Fischer, campus director for Vatterott College of Quincy. “Our school is all about training and jobs. There is nothing more vital these days to those in our community who are struggling with employment issues.”

At the event, people seeking employment opportunities will have a first hand opportunity to interact with local companies seeking to hire.

Resume workshops will also be available.

Any employers who would like to register to participate, or any persons seeking more information should contact Vatterott College at 217-224-0600.
