ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A fire has destroyed the historic Robert E. Lee riverboat in St. Louis.

KTVI reported that the boat had been docked on the Mississippi River in north St. Louis when the blaze broke out Sunday afternoon. No one was injured.

The vessel was a replica of a 19th century riverboat and had once been a popular restaurant.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
