Nationwide CORE survey helps schools build programs and policies
MACOMB, ILL. -- Starting Monday, March 22nd, W.I.U. will be asking students to take part in an Alcohol and Drug Use survey.
The Alcohol and Other Drugs Resource Center will be giving the four page Core survey to students in randomly selected classrooms and other venues.
The survey is done every two years across the country and measures the current alcohol and drug use in the college population.
"When the students will respond in great numbers and they respond honestly, we get a really good view of what's happening. That helps us know what kinds of programs to initiate, what kind of policies to develop, where we really need to put our attention and make the campus safer and more successful," said Alcohol and Other Drugs Resource Center Clinical Supervisor Vivian Coeur.
The Core survey is completely anonymous.
It will be given on W.I.U.'s campus through April 12th.
