WIU hosts national fossil exposition

MACOMB, ILL. (AP) -- Fossil enthusiasts from around the world are expected to gather for an exposition in Macomb.

The National Fossil Exposition is to begin Friday at Western Illinois University and last through Sunday.

The school says the annual event attracts dealers, exhibitors and fossil fans from around country and around the world.

Attendees buy, sell and view fossils.

The event is sponsored by the Mid-America Paleontology Society and also includes speakers on topics like dinosaurs and fossil collecting.

Admission and parking are free.
