HANNIBAL, MO. -- The Hannibal Parks and Recreation department is working on putting new restrooms in the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center.
They would be located in the old POPS club building off the side of the Armory.
Right now the price tag is too high for the addition.
$350,000 in the estimate cost, but Chris Atkinson director of the the department says that is too much money.
He would like to see it cost below 100 thousand dollars.
Atkinson says they would like to install 8 stalls but could downsize to make it more affordable.
Renovating the old ones is also an option but space is limited.
Other improvements will be done this summer including a new rood and window panels.
