QUINCY, ILL. -- A Quincy family is without a home after a grease fire got out of control.

The fire happened at 2925 Hampshire Street just before 6:00 Monday night.

The Quincy Fire Department tells KHQA the fire started in a pan of grease on the stove.

Luckily, everyone was able to get out safely.

However, the kitchen and dining room area suffered a lot of fire damage and the rest of the home suffered a lot of smoke damage.

The Red Cross is helping the family.
