MACOMB, ILL. -- A group of Macomb citizens wants your help to keep Illinois State Police in that community.
The Community Quality of Life Advisory Committee will meet Thursday, April 8 to figure out how to do that.
KHQA reported late last month that District 14 headquarters in Macomb could close because of state budget cuts. You can learn more about that plan, and initial reaction to it, at the link below.
The committee had success several years ago in helping to keep Amtrak service in the community. Now it will focus on keeping District 14 open.
That meeting is Thursday at noon in the Macomb city hall community room.
KHQA is scheduled to attend that meeting. Watch for more information Thursday on KHQA's news at 5, 6 and 10 p.m., and here on www.connecttristates.com
