KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- A Kansas City man is facing new federal charges accusing him of using 13 children to make pornographic videos.
Prosecutors say some of the children were drugged with sedatives in their ice cream.
James Phillip Edwards initially was charged in October in U.S. District Court with three counts related to child pornography.
On Thursday, prosecutors announced a 21-count superceding indictment charging the 60-year-old with 13 counts of producing child pornography, five counts of drugging minors with Ambien and three counts related to possessing, advertising and distributing child porn.
Edwards told investigators in a videotaped interview after his Oct. 14 arrest that he doesn't believe he has done anything wrong.
