QUINCY, ILL. -- A Quincy man is staying with a neighbor after a fire left him without a home.

The call came in just before 1:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon for this home on Ohio near 24th Street.

The Quincy Fire Department says the fire started in the basement and has been labeled electrical in nature.

There was heavy fire damage in the basement, and some fire damage in the attic.

The rest of the house had a lot of smoke damage.

No one was home at the time the fire started.
