QUINCY, ILL. -- April 11th through April 17th is Week of the Young Children (WOYC).
WOYC is sponsored nationally by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Early Childhood and Family Education Center/Early Childhood at 401 S. 8th in Quincy kicked off this week with an annual parade.
Children from all Early Childhood classes neatly marched with parents, teachers, school administrators and School Board members and waived to the crowd that gathered.
Police and Fire Rescue were on hand to escort the parade and block off the streets.
