QUINCY, ILL. -- The Quincy Park Board approved a 1 percent pay raise for the executive director Dan Gibble on Wednesday.

His salary when he began the job December 23, 2009 was $84,258.

Wednesday's action by the board is retroactive to February 6, 2010.

The board also approved a maintenance dredging bid of $375 per hour of Canton Marine Towing to provide mechanical dredging of the Quincy Bay area as needed.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers under new regulations might be able to help with some of the dredging at the south end of the Art Keller Marina and portions of the Quincy Bay.
