QUINCY, ILL. -- Dogs of all kinds and their owners strutted their stuff in Quincy's Historic Business District for Mardi Pals.

The Saturday afternoon fun kicked off with the Barkus parade downtown.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes dressed up hoping to win a crown.

KHQA's own Chad Douglas served as one of the judges and it was a tough job picking the royalty.

There were weiner dog races and vendors with pet friendly items set up in Washington Park as well.

The event raises money for Paw Pal's services.

It's a rescue group that focuses on helping and educating low-income pet owners.
