Open house held for former Quincy school district offices
QUINCY, ILL. -- For the right price you can own a very important part of Quincy history.
Since the 1960's this property at 1444 Maine has been the home of the Quincy school district offices.
But now the district is auctioning off this property as well as a 2 story bungalow house at 1421 Jersey built in the 1920's.
The property on Maine was built in 1867 and still features many of the original features like full length windows, staircases and fireplaces made of italian marble.
In fact the building is on the Illinois registry of historic buildings.
