SPRINGFIELD, ILL. (AP) -- The Illinois Liquor Control Commission cited 32 liquor-license holders in April for serving minors.
About 75 percent of the 125 establishments undercover agents and underage volunteers visited complied with the law prohibiting sales of alcohol to anyone under age 21.
Commission agents and volunteers from high schools and colleges randomly visit liquor stores, restaurants and bars in cities around the state.
Additionally, the commission works with local law enforcement agencies to check compliance.
Checks in April occurred in Batavia; Cumberland, Clark and Crawford counties; Danville; Jefferson and Franklin counties; and Livingston County.
