MOUNT PROSPECT, ILL. (AP) --
Plans are set to celebrate "American Idol" finalist Lee Dewyze in his Illinois hometown.
Dewyze is one of three contestants left on the Fox television singing competition.
He has a full Friday scheduled, including a chance to throw the first pitch at the Chicago Cubs game.
Later Friday, Dewyze is to ride in a motorcade in his hometown of Mount Prospect and give a performance at Arlington Park Racetrack in Arlington Heights.
The 24-year-old Dewyze was a paint sales clerk before he left to compete on "American Idol."
Neighbors in Mount Prospect have been wearing neon yellow and pink "Vote 4 Lee" T-shirts and gathering weekly at a restaurant in the Chicago suburb to watch Dewyze on the show and vote for him.
