State Division of Vital Records closed during move

SPRINGFIELD, ILL. -- The Illinois Department of Public Health Division of Vital Records will be closed from Thursday, May 27 through Monday, May 31 while the division relocates from its current Springfield location at 605 W. Jefferson St., to its new Springfield location at 925 E. Ridgely Ave.

The Division of Vital Records will reopen to the public at its new location on Tuesday, June 1 at 10 a.m.

Rush service and processing of customer requests may be delayed during the move.

Birth and death records can also be obtained from the county clerk’s office in the county where the birth or death occurred.  For a list of county vital record Web sites, log onto www.idph.state.il.us/vitalrecords/countylisting.htm.
