Iowa police seek name of accident victim

BURLINGTON, IOWA (AP) -- Burlington police are still trying to identify a woman was was hit and killed by a pickup truck last week.
   
Police say the woman was hit as she was crossing the street shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday. The driver told police he was turning onto the street and didn't see the woman.
   
Police say the woman was not carrying any identification. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
   
Authorities say there are no reports of any missing adults in the area.
   
The results of an autopsy, and possible clues to the woman's identity, are pending.
